This is used behind embroidery on Stretch or Knitted fabric to create a really stable base.

This is entirely optional, but it gives a really professional result.

It would be used against the back of the garment – with cut away and tear away behind it.

After embroidery it will get cut away to shape with the Cut-Away stabilizer, after the Tear-Away has been removed.

Cream – used on Light colour fabric.

Black – used on Dark colour fabric.

Woven embroidery backing is a type of stabilizer used in the embroidery process to provide support and structure to fabrics during stitching. This type of backing is specifically designed to handle the stress and tension that occur during the embroidery process, helping to ensure clean, precise, and professional-quality results. Here are some key features and benefits of woven embroidery backing:

1. **Stability**: Woven backing is typically more stable and durable than non-woven options. It is made from interlaced fibers that create a strong and resilient fabric, helping to prevent stretching or distortion of both the backing and the fabric being embroidered.

2. **Support**: It provides excellent support for medium to heavy fabrics, making it suitable for use with detailed and dense embroidery designs that require a stable foundation.

3. **Versatility**: Woven backing can be used with a variety of fabrics, including woven textiles themselves, such as denim, canvas, or twill. It is particularly useful for garments that will be heavily laundered or subjected to wear and tear, as it maintains its integrity over time.

4. **Application**: Typically, the backing is hooped along with the fabric during embroidery. After the embroidery process is complete, the excess backing can be trimmed away to ensure a neat finish.

5. **Durability**: Because of its woven structure, it tends to be more durable than non-woven stabilizers, resisting tearing during the embroidery process and contributing to the overall longevity of the embroidered item.

Woven embroidery backing is an essential tool for embroiderers looking to achieve high-quality, lasting results on a variety of fabrics, especially where stability and durability are key considerations.
